Program Planning Manager – Rio Tinto Robe Valley Sustaining Project 

The Mesa J iron ore mine, located in the Robe Valley in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, is operated by Rio Tinto, with UGL responsible for construction and maintenance. In 2021, the capital works program faced significant disruption due to COVID-19, impacting supply chains, workforce availability, and equipment mobilisation.

Asterix was engaged to provide targeted support across Perth, Brisbane, and site operations, strengthening commercial claims management, accelerating delivery performance, and supporting client representation. Through rapid mobilisation and focused execution, Asterix played a key role in enabling successful capital works delivery and supporting increased iron ore production capacity.
